Ancillary 2: Creating my webpage
For my website, i created adverts. during my research, i found out that advertisements in newspapers are used to draw attention to a particular thing(for example, the issue of the swine flu or to promote an official issue or statement made by the government). they can also be used as a means to generate revenue for the newspaper.
This is how i created one of my websites.
I used the Adobe shapes tool to make a aerolane and the i used the paint bucket tool to change the colour. I then made the 'Airline Agency' by Photoshop Font Style tool and i chose 'Chisseled sky'.
Towards the end of the webpage, i wrote the name of the newspaper publisher and decided to make a logo for it. I used the shapes tool and chose Tile1 i then used the colour picker tool and changed it to red.
To make my newspaper website mutimedia and to reach to a wider target audience, i decided that it would be a good idea to make my newspaper website available on ipad. I started off the advert by opening a new document in Adobe PhotoShop then i place an image of ipad and i used the text tool to write my text and used the colour tool to change the colour. i chose to use Arial font because it was plain and bold which is very eyecatching.
I then made a print screen of my newspaper, inserted it into adobe and cropped it. then i rotated the ipad and also rotated the picture. Then i placed the picture in front of the ipad screen.
I also put a stroke on the textbox of my text to draw more attention to it. I chose to use red because i wanted it to fit in with my website's colour scheme.
